My journey as a photographer started in high school. My mom had gifted me an old film Nikon and I was hooked right off the bat. I loved capturing moments and telling stories through images.
Up until the past year, I have been focused on family portrait photography, but it was my health journey, and desire to learn how to cook, that made me really dive deep into learning the intricacies of food photography and fall in love with the process. I jumped into learning about lighting, styling, editing, and continue to push the boundaries and learn more each and every day.
I should have known from the start, food photography would become my passion. I grew up in a household where food was our love language. Mixing my love of food with visual storytelling has become a perfect fit.
Growing up in Chicago, I have come to love and admire the diversity of the food world, the many different flavors and textures and stories that those foods represent. I strive to tell those stories in my images, and continue to push the boundaries of what types of images I can capture to share those stories and feelings with the world.
